Today's Open Event at Royal Harwich was the 1st of the Pioneer Pump Eastern Traveller Series.  The Eastern sailors had to deal with the tide, strong winds and very flukey wind changes. There was some very close racing. Pros and Sports shared a start which gave some very interesting racing in the strong afternoon winds.
Archie had a storming day not just dominating the Sport fleet but in the afternoon led both the Sport and Pro fleet home.  Oscar and James swapped places behind him with Oscar beating James in the final race to take 2nd overall, with James 3rd. In the Pro fleet, Sam and Sydney both had a great day of sailing with Sam taking 1st.  Craig and Hobie were on hand to coach the whole fleet and saw huge improvements over the day.  Special mention from Craig went to Josie for some great sailing and Natasha for some real improvement.  Officer of the Day, Graham loved how much Archie and Oscar smiled whilst they were out on the water.
