There are lots of options for places to stay. We stayed at the peaceful Anfasterod Gardsvik holiday resort - a former farm on a forested slope facing the inner archipelago of Bohuslän, on the Swedish west coast. It's now a campsite and resort less than a 10 minute drive from Ljungskile Sailing Club. Anfasterod website here
They have a variety of pitches for tents, caravans & campervans, plus lovely little cottages and houses with sea views. They even have glamping in safari tents in the forest. My favourite was the floating wood-fired sauna on site, attached to a jetty - so very Swedish!
Breakfast is included in the price, served in the main building over looking the sea, including homemade bread baked fresh every day. They serve lunch, coffee and ice-cream the rest of the day. On Fridays to Sundays they also serve dinner.
Owners Hannah & Magnus offer a 20% discount for direct bookings - either by calling them direct on 00 46 708 707270 or by emailing them at [email protected]They have not opened bookings yet on their website, but you can book directly anytime. Children under 12 stay free too, so great for those younger sailors or siblings.
