International Class Association

This year we're heading to a beautiful & unspoilt sailing area at Ljungskile in Sweden, less than an hour's drive north of Gothenburg and the airport. Ljungskile is on the Swedish west coast, some 60km north of Gothenburg. August is a perfect time to visit Sweden!

Ljungskile can be found in the heart of Bohuslän province, renowned for its archipelago and excellent sailing conditions. Prevailing winds are southwesterlies, and in August temperatures are lovely. The race area is near the island of Ulvön in the entrance of the inner bay, Ljungskileviken.

Our base for the week will be the typically Swedish Ljungskile Segelsällskapb and the club is planning to fill the area around the harbour with event tents and activities for a great experience on and off the water. 

RS Aero sailors are catered for too. The Swedish RS Aero Class is holding their Class Championship in Ljungskile on Monday 5th & Tuesday 6th August, giving older siblings and parents something to do too!

The RS Tera sailors will have their starts before lunch and the RS Aeros have their races after lunch.
