Northern RS Tera Championship

The 2013 Championship will be held 4th/5^th May at the Isle of Man Yacht Club, alongside the annual Isle of Man Open. It is being sponsored by Appleby Global, the leading offshore legal company. The Isle of Man is a fabulous location for sailing and Port St Mary bay is beautiful, whilst the Yacht Club guarantees you a memorable weekend.

The Manx Youth Sailing Squad had now been going for six years and was one of the first to support  Tera class events. They first competed at Draycot in 2008 where a very young Greg Kelly took third place. (It was Sport class only then). As well as travelling to the Nationals and Inlands every year since they have also been at the European and World championships – are they the most travelled and dedicated RS Tera sailors?

They have proved the value of good training too with major successes in the World's for the brothers James (Carnac 2010) and Greg (Iseo 2012) Kelly whilst Hannah Howitt, Izzie Sharpe, Amie Shute, Ffinlo Wright and Ben Batchelor have become familiar names amongst the strongest competitors. Now a new group are coming forward. We hope that you might come and compete against them – the only event on their own waters.
