Welcome to the 2011 RS Tera World Championship website.  On this site you will find the event entry page, travel information, event documentation and much more.

To streamline the entry, merchandising and payment for the event we have separated the entry from the other parts. To participate you will need to complete the entry form and pay.  On completion of the entry form Golly (International Secretary) will get in contact with you by email to arrange your payment. This can be done either by credit/debit card or bank transfer. Full payment will be required to be received before your entry will be confirmed.

Entering

Please click here to complete your entry form..  You will also need to complete the parental permission/medical form for any sailors under 18.  Please bring a completed form to registration.

Entry Fee

€250 per boat .

€30 discount (€220) if entry and payment received before 1st March 2011.

€15 discount (€235) if entry and payment received before 1st June 2011.

Entry deadline is 14/7/11 Entries after this date may be accepted at the discretion of the Organising Authority but there will be a €30 late booking surcharge. Confirmation of acceptance should be obtained before travelling by contacting golly@rssailing.org

Payments made by debit or credit card will have 2% automatically added to them to cover the card fees.

Entry fee includes:

• Polo shirts (worth €15 each)
• Rash vests (worth €15 each)
• Championship dinner tickets (worth €20 each)
• Ticket for Disco
• Food after racing every day
• 2 National flag for mainsail (worth €10)

RS Tera Pro aged 18 or under on 1st Jan 2011

RS Tera Sport aged 15 or under on 1st Jan 2011

Charter boats

A limited number of charter boats will be available.  Please book at the same time as entering. If you wish to discuss anything about charter boats not covered here please email Golly.

Option 1   - RS Tera complete (Sport or Pro) Includes insurance €400

Option 2 -   RS Tera  (No Ropes or  Sail)  Includes insurance €250

Insurance

Insurance documents showing cover of at least €1,500,000 per boat will have to be produced at registration.

Safety and communication

All sailors must have a whistle attached to the outside of their buoyancy aid.

Event information for the duration of the event may be given by text message as well as via the event web page at www.rstera.org/worlds .

Spares

Competitors are responsible for their own spares but RS Sailing (ie Jon Partridge) will have some spares available.

Membership

All competitors must be a member of their National Class Association if it is affiliated to the International RS Classes Association or, if they have no such national class association, they need to join the International RS Tera Class Association (part of the International RS Classes Association) for a fee of €10.  Evidence of membership will be required at registration. International membership can be organised at the event or by contacting Golly at gollytucker@rssailing.org

Training

Aabenraa SC is organising an open, pre –world training camp from 29th July to 3ist July.  To secure a place book online.  The cost is €40 for the training.  Camping is available at a cost of €40 for the three nights.  Limited spaces so if you are interested, book now to avoid disappointment.

Support and coach ribs (motor boats)

All ribs attending in a support or coach role must be entered via the entry pages.  There will be a harbour fee, needing to be paid at the harbour office on arrival.  Note there is a 15mph limit on all ribs unless actively engaged in rescue. All rib drivers must show their International motor boat license (CEVNI) at registration together with the original insurance documentation for the rib.

Ferries

We suspect that visitors coming from UK destinations will find the most economic route is via Dover or Folkstone.   Seafrance are offering a discount agreement with RS so we can get 10% off crossings when using the code UKRS.
