YC Carnac, Brittany - France
Saturday 29 July - Friday 4 August 2017
Carnac is one of the most popular sailing venues in northern France. Located in Quiberon Bay it offers the best of the Atlantic breezes but is also sheltered from the Atlantic swell by the Quiberon peninsula.
The RS fleets have been to Carnac regularly, with the RS Feva Worlds here in 2014.
As a holiday destination there's plenty to do. There are many archaeological sites and a Prehistory Museum which claims to be the best in the world for the Megalithic period. Saint Michel Tumulus is worth climbing for terrific views over the Quiberon Bay while further afield is the charming cove of Le Po which shelters several oyster farms where you can buy fresh oysters and shellfish. The ancient fishing village of Saint Colomban is also worth a visit.
GREAT SAILING & FAMILY FUN!
